After 30 minutes of stirring at room temperature, the solvent was evaporated, water and EtOAc were added. Organic layer was separated, washed with 0.5 N HCl (10 ml) and brine (15 ml), dried (NA2S04) and concentrated to give 0.41 g (76percent yield) of the desired product which was used in the next step to prepare di-Boc-protected 2 without purification.
