4-Chloro-6-[(1-methyl-1H-pyrazol-3-yl)amino]-1H-pyrrolo[2,3-b]pyridine-3-carbonitrile 4,6-Dichloro-1H-pyrrolo[2,3-b]pyridine-3-carbonitrile (0.118 g), 1-methyl-1H-pyrazol-3-amine (0.027 g), sodium tert-butoxide (0.269 g), tris(dibenzylideneacetone)dipalladium(0) (0.026 g) and 4,5-bis(diphenylphosphino)-9,9-dimethylxanthene (Xantphos, 0.035 g) were added to a microwave vial, followed by dry DMF (5 mL). The reaction mixture was flushed with N2 for ?10 min, and then heated to 80¡ã C. with microwaves for 1 h. The reaction mixture was subjected to silica-gel flash column chromatography [dichloromethane-methanol (2-3percent)]. The eluted material, obtained as a yellow solid (0.055 g, 78percent) was identified as 4-chloro-6-[(1-methyl-1H-pyrazol-3-yl)amino]-1H-pyrrolo[2,3-b]pyridine-3-carbonitrile.
