Reactions of 2-[1-(3,5-dimethylpyrazol-1-yl)ethyl]pyridine (L1) and 2-[1-(3,5-diphenylpyrazol-1-yl)ethyl]pyridine (L2) with the [Pd (COD)Cl-2] or [Pd (COD)MeCl] produced palladium (II) complexes [Pd(L1)ClMe] (1), [Pd(L1)Cl-2] (C2), [Pd(L2)ClMe] (3), and [Pd(L2)Cl-2] (4) in quantitative yields. Solid state structures of complexes 1, 3 and 4 established the formation of mononuclear compounds, containing one bidentate ligand unit per metal atom, to give square planar complexes. All the other spectroscopic characterization data and elemental analyses were consistent with the observed structures. All the palladium (II) complexes 1-4 gave active catalysts in the methoxycarbonylation of 1-octenes. The catalysts demonstrated 100% chemoselectivities towards esters and favored the formation of linear isomers. Reaction conditions such as the type of phosphine derivative, acid promoter, solvent system, time, pressure and temperature have been investigated and shown to affect both the catalytic activity and regio-selectivity of the catalysts. Solid-angle modelling established the comparable steric contributions from the ligands, consistent with the similar regioselectivities of the resultant catalysts.

Here in, the effects of FeSiAl particle size on the dielectric and microwave absorption properties of FeSiAl/Al2O3 composites were studied. FeSiAl/Al2O3 composites containing 18-25 mu m, 25-48 mu m, and 48-75 mu m FeSiAl particles were prepared by hot-pressed sintering based on uniformly mixed FeSiAl and Al2O3 powders. Results show that the real permittivity and the imaginary permittivity are significantly promoted with increasing FeSiAl particle size, which is ascribed to the enhanced interfacial polarization and conductance loss. In addition, the favorable matching impedance and suitable attenuation coefficient enabled the composite containing 25-48 mu m FeSiAl powder to show a minimum reflection loss of -34.4 dB at 11.7 GHz and an effective absorption bandwidth (<-10 dB) of 1.4 GHz in 11.0-12.4 GHz, when the thickness is 1.1 mm. By adjusting the thickness to 1.4 mm, the effective absorption bandwidth of the composite reaches a maximum value of 2.0 GHz in the 8.3-10.3 GHz range, indicating tunable, strong, and highly efficient microwave absorption performance. A new semi-theoretical equation is suggested for correlation of solid-liquid solubility data with temperature. The (solid + liquid) equilibrium for Terephthaldialdehyde, 4-Nitro-o-phennylenediamine, 2,4-dihydro- 5-methyl-2(4-methylphenyl)-3H-pyrazol-3-one (also named 1-(p-toly1)-3-methyl-5pyrazolone (PTMP)), 2-Amino-5-methylthiazole and 5-chloro-1-methyl-4-nitroimidazole in 18 solvents is correlated with semi-empirical models at temperatures T = 273.15 – 318.15 K under a pressure of 101.2 kPa. Moreover, a modified Apelblat model, lambda h model, Wilson model, NRTL model, new flexible equation as Akbari, Dideban and Farhang model (ADF) and for first time the modified Scatchard-Hildebrand equation were utilized to calculate the experiment values. The performance of both ADF and modified Scatchard-Hildebrand equation have been checked by calculating the solubility data with the AARD% of 1.3808% (for 775 data points) and 0.65% (for 100 data points), respectively. The Wilson model is applied to estimate the mixing Gibbs energy, mixing enthalpy, mixing entropy, activity coefficient (ln gamma(infinity)(1)) and reduced excess enthalpy (H-I(E,infinity)) at infinitesimal concentration were calculated.

Purpose: Regorafenib is an oral multikinase inhibitor approved for the therapy of previously treated metastatic colorectal carcinoma (mCRC). The aim of the present study was to analyze the outcomes of treatment with regorafenib in real-world clinical practice based on data from a national registry. Methods: The CORECT registry, the Czech non-interventional database of patients with mCRC treated with targeted agents, searched for patients with metastatic CRC treated with regorafenib. In total, 555 evaluable patients were identified. Results: The median age at diagnosis was 61.7 years. All patients had disease progression on or after previous systemic treatment. Most patients were treated with an initial dose of 160 mg daily (n = 463; 83.6%). The median duration of treatment was 2.7 months (range 0.023.4 months). By the data cut-off date, 472 patients (85%) had completed treatment with regorafenib and were evaluable for treatment response evaluation. Partial response was reported in 13 patients (2.8%) and disease stabilization in 130 patients (27.5%). Median progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS) were 3.5 months (95% confidence interval [CI] 3.2-3.7 months) and 9.3 months (95% CI 8.3-10.3 months), respectively. The 6-month OS rate was 67.7% (95% CI 63.4-72.1%). Multivariable analysis showed that female gender, longer interval from diagnosis of metastatic disease, MO stage at diagnosis, and Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group performance status (ECOG PS) 0 were associated with longer PFS, while higher body-mass index (BMI), longer interval from diagnosis of metastatic disease, and ECOG PS of 0 were associated with longer OS. Conclusion: OS of patients treated with regorafenib in the real-world clinical practice in this cohort exceeded that reported in randomized trials. Regorafenib is a safe and active treatment option for a subgroup of patients with mCRC who are progressing after other systemic therapies and maintain good performance status.

Ampelocalamus scandens is native to Guizhou Province, China, and grows at an altitude of 260-320 m. It can be used as a raw material for weaving and papermaking. In the current study, the complete chloroplast (cp) genome of A. scandens was sequenced and is reported for the first time. The complete cp sequence was 139,504 bp, include large single-copy (LSC), small single-copy (SSC), and a pair of invert repeats (IR) region of 83,103 bp, 12,813 bp, and 21,793 bp, respectively. Besides, the plastid genome comprised a total of 132 genes, including protein-coding, tRNA, and rRNA genes as 85, 39, and 8 genes, respectively. Phylogenetic analysis based on 28 cp genomes reveals that A. scandens is closely associated with Ampelocalamus melicoideus in Arundinarodae.

The oxidative deamination of N-nitroso N-acetylneuraminic acid (NeuAc) derivatives is a useful reaction for the formation of 5-desamino-5-hydroxy NeuAc derivatives and their stereoisomers. We demonstrated previously that replacement of the classical nucleophile in these reactions, acetic acid, by phenols resulted in a novel double displacement process with substitution of the acetoxy group at the 4-position taking place in addition to that of the 5-acetamido group, for which we postulated a mechanism centered on the formation of a highly reactive vinyl diazonium ion. We now extend these studies to encompass the use of hydroxylaminebased systems and weakly basic amines as nucleophile. We find that the nature of the product depends significantly on the pKa of the nucleophile, with the more acidic species typically affording only substitution at the 5-position, while the less acidic species give mixtures of elimination products and disubstitution products. The use of aniline as nucleophile is of particular note as it affords a novel aziridine spanning positions 4- and 5- of the neuraminic acid skeleton.

In this article, a series of blocked waterborne polyurethanes (BWPUs) were synthesized by isophorone diisocyanate, polyols, dimethylol butanoic acid (DMBA), and 3,5-dimethylpyrazole. BWPUs were applied to digital inkjet printing of textiles. The successful synthesis and deblocking of BWPU were confirmed by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and differential scanning calorimetry. The colorfastness was improved by deblocking the terminal NCO groups at 140 degrees C, which could react with fiber. This article presented a characterization method of filtering rate to evaluate the fluency of inkjet printing. Besides, the digital microscope was used to investigate the pigment transferred to the white test cloth. In the end, we chose poly(ethylene glycol adipate) 2000 as the polyol, 1,4-butanediol as the chain extender, 1.6 as the NCO/OH molar ratio, and 4% as the mass fraction of DMBA. The crystal structure of the Pt-2 complex showed short intramolecular Pt center dot center dot center dot Pt distance (3.129 angstrom) and unique packing structure containing one-dimensional infinite pore that was filled with solvent molecules. The absorbance was proportional to the concentration of Pt-2 complex and no significant bands appeared even in high concentration (up to 100 mu M). The Pt-2 complex showed bluish-green emission (lambda(max) = 459 nm) in the solid state at 298 K (lambda(ex) = 330 nm). TD-DFT calculation revealed that the lowest-energy absorption bands are mainly assigned to the combination of metal-to-ligand charge transfer (MLCT) and ligand-to-ligand charge transfer (LLCT) transitions.

Tetrakis(1H-pyrazol-l-yl)methanes are very rare compounds of which only two are known: the unsubstituted 1 obtained classically by Wicket in 1937 from carbon tetrachloride and prepared again several times and the 3,5-dimethyl substituted 2 obtained serendipitously by Pombeiro in 2009. We have now extended this group to include four new derivatives 8, 9,11 and 12 bearing methyl groups. The X-ray crystal structure of the four compounds has been determined. They have been studied by NMR both in solution (H-1, C-13, N-15) and in the solid state (C-13 and N-15).
